Guaranteed MLB Picks of the Night
Clayton Kershaw and the division leading L.A. Dodgers will try and bounce back from 8-1 loss last night to the Houston Astros as these two teams play the second game of a 3 game series tonight. Kershaw has been especially tough at home, posting a 2-2 record with a 1.95 ERA in nine starts at Dodger Stadium. In his last 6 starts Kershaw has allowed only 3 total runs, including 4 games where he did not allow a single run. Look for him to cool off the bats of the Astros and get the win tonight.

MLS Picks
The conference leading Houston Dynamo travel to BMO Field tomorrow to take on Toronto FC. The first meeting between these two teams belonged to Houston as they won easily 3-0. The rematch between these clubs however will be much different. Don't expect Houston to put up those kind of goals again as they are playing without their two top scorers, Brian Ching and Stuart Holden, who continue their international duties. Goalkeeper Pat Onstad of the Dynamo is one of the best, but given Toronto's recent success of winning 3 of their last 4 games (scoring 7 goals in those 3 wins) added with the fact that Houston is also missing a good defender in Andrew Hainault, they just aren't going to be able to stop the rolling Toronto FC. Houston has a 4-4-1 road record, are 0-1-1 in two visits to Toronto, and are just 1-2-1 in their last 4 games. On the other hand, Toronto's last 8 home games have resulted in a record of 5-2-1. This game will be close and could go either way, but I'm expecting to see Toronto edge out the Dynamo in a tight one.

MLB Picks for the Night
Guaranteed Pick of the Night
All-Star Felix Hernandez takes the mound tonight for the surprising Mariners as they play the second of a 3 game series at Cleveland. Hernandez has been tough all year, particularly in games away from Safeco, where he has gone 5-1 with a 1.94 ERA. Hernandez hasn't lost a start in his last 9 outings and expect that streak to continue tonight. Indians starter David Huff has struggled somewhat this year, compiling a 4-3 record with a 6.71 ERA. Huff hasn't started and exited a game this year with his ERA under 5, with his most recent start going 4 1/3 against the White Sox and giving up 7 earned runs. That is why we pick the Mariners to take this one quite easily, covering the 1.5 spread.
Current Vegas Odds
Seattle Mainers -1.5 (+105)
Cleveland Indians +1.5 (-125)
Other Picks for the Night (predicted winner highlighted in blue)
San Francisco Giants -153
Pittsburgh Pirates +138
Milwaukee Brewers +116

Arizona Diamondbacks +190

Guaranteed Baseball Pick of the Night
Chicago Cubs at Washington Nationals
Cubs starter Rich Harden has less than impressive numbers so far this year, compiling a 5-6 record with a 5.47 ERA. He has not won at Wrigley Field since May 12, a span of five starts, and has an 8.63 ERA in that stretch. On the road however, Harden has been much more impressive, with a 3-1 record and a 2.59 ERA. Nationals starter John Lannan will try and improve upon his final outing before the break, against the Astros, where he had one of his worst starts of the season. The Nationals are playing below .500 ball at home, with a MLB worst 16-26 record at Nationals Park. Expect the Cubs to win a low scoring affair, but still manage to cover the spread.

MLS: LA Galaxy vs. New York Red Bulls
The LA Galaxy look to extend their win streak to 4 games tonight as they take on the New York Red Bulls. In the first meeting between these two this season, the Galaxy took care of the Red Bulls 1-0. Don't expect anything to change this time around. Veteran leader Landon Donovan and his strong supporting cast should be able to easily put away the 2-13-4 Red Bulls. New York simply is no match for LA, so look for the Galaxy to take this game easily.
